в программировании - одно из базовых понятий, означающих функциональный блок кода (т. е. блок, решающий конкретную задачу), к которому можно многократно обращаться из разных мест программы. Программа на процедурном ЯВУ обычно состоит из модулей, каждый из которых может содержать от одной до нескольких десятков подпрограмм. Обращение к подпрограмме называется вызовом подпрограммы (см. procedure call), при этом ей можно передавать параметры (см. parameter) и получать результаты.Syn:subroutine.
